5 Simple Habits To Boost Your Daily Wellbeing
In today’s post, let’s explore five easy to implement habits that can significantly enhance your daily well-being. From morning rituals to evening practices, discover simple yet effective strategies to cultivate a healthier and happier lifestyle.
1. WAKING UP EARLY
This may be one of the best, worst-kept secrets! Waking up early is so underrated, perhaps, staying cozy in bed feels so good! But here is the truth…..by setting your alarm early, you will gain extra time in your day to put back into you. How do you ask? Well, look at it from this perspective.
You wake up at 5am every day to pour into your side hustle before kicking off to your 9-5. By setting your alarm early, you could gain an additional 1- 1.5 hours a day or up to 7.5 hours a week. This is time that you would have otherwise spent sleeping!
Maybe it’s not entrepreneurship you pursue. Perhaps, you really want to commit to exercising, or this is simply the only time you can get on your own. Setting your alarm clock early and rising to meet the day will ensure you are putting time aside for yourself, intentionally. Your body clock will soon adjust and really, why would you spend more time snoozing when you gain more time to chase your goals?
2. QUALITY SLEEP
Early mornings don’t just happen - at least if you want to be productive. Getting quality sleep is not only important for your 5 am wake-up calls, it’s essential for your overall wellbeing. Lackluster sleep has serious impacts on both your body and mind. Research has found that not getting enough Zzzz can impact your overall mood, your concentration, and even your reflexes. But getting quality sleep isn’t easy for a lot of people. You can start to settle your body by implementing sleep time routines such as, doing your skincare routine, tidying up, making a cup of tea, putting your phone down for the night and even reading a book. By minimising clutter in your room, you can create a relaxing atmosphere and please….remember to change your pillows yearly and always buyingbuy one that supports your sleeping style!
3.HYDRATE
Drinking water is one of the basic ways you can take care of yourself. It’s so simple, that you probably don’t even think about it that much. Our bodies are primarily made of water and water molecules so keeping it hydrated is not only essential - it’s actually life-saving.
A fun way you can keep hydrated is by adding flavours to your water - there are so many products coming to market like protein water and flavour cubes which can turn an otherwise tall glass of water into a fun beverage. You can also consider switching from tap water to Sparkling and adding sugar-free syrups to it for a fun, healthier alternative to soft drinks.
4.CONNECT WITH NATURE
Connecting with nature can actually manifest physical symptoms such as increasing oxygen levels and stabilising your mood. A quick joint in nature does the trick but if you can’t go to Nature, why not bring it to you? You can add plants to the inside of your home or create a herb garden on the balcony of your apartment. If you have the space and funds, creating green spaces can be easy and a fun project you can embark on with your loved ones but if you are after something more budget-friendly, why not start with a few succulents then propagate them to grow your collection!
5. Acting As If…
For those who believe in manifesting, acting as if you already have what you want is an excellent way to align your energy to that of what you are dreaming of. You can do this in so many ways! You could start by standing in front of your mirror and talking about all the things you have achieved ( play along here ) Or, you can create an “Acting As If” journal where you can write diary entries talking about how you are kicking goals!
Acting as if you have already achieved what you want helps to boost your self-confidence, urges on to continue on your pursuit of your dreams and it can be a really fun way to help you stay on track.! It may seem a little odd at first but this is not unusual. professional athletes use this technique to psych themselves up before their events. Sprinters imagine themselves crossing that finish line, boxers visualise themselves winning that belt and even race car drivers are known to envision themselves driving around that track and reaching the end victorious!
These habits are sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated and empowered. Start incorporating them into your routine today and witness the positive impact on your overall Wellness journey!
